Membership

The Association offers a variety of membership categories designed to bring together individuals and institutions dedicated to the advancement of dairy science, dairy farming, and allied fields. Whether you’re a student, a professional, or a representative of an organization, membership with the Association provides access to a vibrant network of experts, collaborative opportunities, exclusive events, and the latest industry insights. Membership is subject to approval by the Central Executive Committee (CEC) upon submission of the prescribed application form.

About Membership

Benefactor Membership

Organizations or institutions may enroll as Benefactor Members by contributing a one-time donation of Rs. 82,600/- (including GST), valid for a period of eight years from the date of enrollment. Benefactor Membership allows representation through an officially nominated individual in all proceedings of the Association, subject to approval of the CEC. Reflects the Association’s long-term commitment.

Sustaining Membership

Any institution, dairy cooperative society, milk producers’ association, or other registered dairy group can become a Sustaining Member by paying a prescribed donation of Rs. 14,750/- for one year. Enrollment is subject to formal approval by the CEC . Sustaining Members are encouraged to actively participate in the Association’s initiatives and contribute to the growth of the dairy sector efficiently and successfully.

Life Membership

An individual is eligible to become a Life Member if they have held an Ordinary Membership for at least one year, have undergone formal training in dairying or allied sciences, and are or have been employed by a relevant institution or organization involved in the dairy sector. The enrollment for Life Membership is subject to approval by the Central Executive Committee (CEC).Reflects the Association's long term assurance.

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary Membership is open to individuals currently involved in, or undergoing training in, dairying or allied sciences, or those employed in institutions related to milk production, processing, or marketing. Membership is also available to individuals in roles that contribute to the growth of the dairy sector, subject to CEC approval. This category fosters engagement among professionals who support and progress of the dairy industry.

Student Membership

Student Membership is open to individuals pursuing a diploma or undergraduate degree in any stream of dairy science, provided they are not currently employed or drawing a salary (Undergraduate Student Membership). It is also available to those enrolled in a postgraduate or doctoral program in dairy science, who are similarly not employed or receiving a salary (Postgraduate/Doctoral Student Membership).
